In October-November 2024 we visited Japan in search of the colours of autumn. These pages describe a series of walks we did on Honshu beneath the autumn leaves - an historical walk along part of the Nakasendo Way, a trek into the Japanese Alps, day-walks in the path of the poet, Basho and northwards in Aomori, followed by a trek along part of the new Michinoku Coastal Trail.
